Should I Tell the Guy About my Abortion Appointment? … Serving Metro Atlanta in Georgia including Brookhaven, Crabapple, Cumming, Dunwoody, Duluth, Peachtree Corners, Suwanee, Sugar Hill, Berkeley Lake, Norcross, and more!

When you find yourself unexpectedly pregnant, the stress can be overwhelming. The last thing you want is additional pressure from other people. You need to make the decision that is best for you.

There are some potential benefits to telling him. Perhaps he knows you well enough to help you process all the emotions and questions you’re facing. Perhaps he can be a source of wisdom and support during this difficult time. Whatever his stance on the pregnancy, he should probably know that his actions led to a pregnancy. Maybe he’ll consider taking preventative steps next time. And believe it or not, in some cases, he may even be looking forward to fatherhood. If so, his excitement could give you a whole new perspective on the pregnancy.

On the other hand, if the guy has a track record of bullying or abuse, this kind of emotionally-charged conversation could be too much for him to handle in a healthy manner. At the Women’s Clinic of Atlanta, we are used to talking to guys about abortion. We have resources just for guys, and if he comes to the appointment with you, we can serve as a buffer and mediator to help both of you process the situation you are in.

All services are confidential as allowable by state law. The guy is welcome to join you for your appointment if you would like for him to do so.  He will be invited into the care room after the health screening has been completed by the nurse, only if you wish to include him.

The Women’s Clinic of Atlanta provides a non-judgmental, compassionate environment for every patient to process through her choice and situation. We provide many services free of charge or at a very low cost.

If you are considering abortion, we would love to serve you. As a nonprofit medical clinic, you can rest assured that we have your best interests at heart. Our team here at the Women’s Clinic of Atlanta includes trained and licensed medical professionals who will provide caring and confidential care.
