Providing abortion information is our specialty. Abortion education and abortion information about abortion procedures & unplanned pregnancy options are all topics in which our nurses are trained. Our Johns Creek and Decatur clinics provide many related services like sex education, sexually transmitted infection testing, sexually transmitted disease treatment, sexual health information and free pregnancy tests, just to name a few. This is a safe judgement free space to ask questions regarding these topics. According to the Center for Disease Control and the medical community, it is wise to have a pre abortion evaluation prior to choosing to have an abortion.
Most of the services at our clinics, like pregnancy tests for example, are free services. There are additional services you might need based on your pregnancy test results. These services could include information about abortion, abortion education, or abortion procedure information. We also offer education about abortion alternatives. The nurses at our clinics are trained to help you understand Plan B, RU486, the Abortion pill, women’s health, STD testing, HIV testing, and STI treatment. Our nurses are also equipped to assist with rape recovery, birth control education, sex trafficking risks, and risks connected to sexual activity.
There are health risks associated with abortion and one of the most important services we offer are free ultrasounds for qualifying patients. It is important to have an ultrasound before an abortion takes place to better understand how far along you are, if it’s a live pregnancy, and what type of abortion options you have. There are abortion providers in Fulton County, Gwinnett County, DeKalb County, and the surrounding areas. Some clinics provide medical abortion, some provide medical and surgical abortion. The Women’s Clinic of Atlanta offers evidence based medical services and education about all options; however, per our Medical Director, we do not offer or refer for abortion services.
No matter your situation is we want to assist you with care and compassion as you navigate a possible pregnancy and your sexual health. We would be honored to have you as a patient and look forward to meeting you!
